UH Hilo offers magnets art class Oct. 20

The Center for Community Engagement (CCE) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo offers Miniature Art: Magnets, an art workshop for adults and children age 10 and up. Class will be held Sunday, October 20, from 1– 4 p.m. in UH Hilo’s PB-5 classroom. Cost is $35.

Students will learn basic drawing, coloring, collaging, and painting techniques, followed by creating different styles of magnets. All required materials will be provided.

Instructor Jessica Brand is a graduate of UH Hilo with a degree in Art. A life-long artist and social advocate, she has worked with children and adults for many years through the YMCA, Kamehameha Schools, Girl Scouts of America, and Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi.
