UH Hilo offers miniature art workshop Sept 8

The Center for Community Engagement (CCE) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo offers a miniature art workshop for adults and children age 10 and up.
In Miniature Art: Canvases, students will learn basic design principles and acrylic painting techniques for working effectively on a 3” x 3” canvas. All required materials are provided; however, students are welcome to bring any images or supplies they would like to use. Class is Sunday, September 8, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m., in UH Hilo’s PB-5 classroom. Cost is $35.
Instructor Jessica Brand is a graduate of Hawaiʻi Community College and UH Hilo with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in art. A life-long artist and social advocate, she has worked with children and adults for many years through the YMCA, Kamehameha schools, Girl Scouts of America, and Catholic Charities Hawaiʻi.
