The Center for Community Engagement (CCE) and Research & Community Partnerships at the University of Hawai╩╗i at Hilo hosts the Regional Science Olympiad competition Saturday, February 9, from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. on the UH Hilo Campus Center Plaza.

Science Olympiad celebrates 35 years as one of the premier science competitions in the nation. Middle and high school students from across Hawai╩╗i Island will compete in a variety of STEM-based events that draw from disciplines such as genetics, earth science, chemistry, engineering, physics, anatomy, geology, engineering and technology. The top five teams will advance to the state competition on O`ahu.

The event is sponsored by the University of Hawai╩╗i at Hilo in collaboration with Science Olympiad.
