NHERC announces Basic Grant Writing Workshop in Waikoloa

The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo North Hawai'i Education and Research Center (NHERC) offers a grant writing workshop on Saturday, March 19, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Waikoloa Elementary School, located at 68-1730 Hooko Street in Waikoloa Village. The cost is $75.

Participants in Basic Grant Writing will learn about the grant writing process, how to write a compelling statement of need, and learn what funders are looking for in grant proposals. Instructor Jeani Navarro has over 30 years of grant writing experience and has helped various community organizations secure needed funding. A certificate will be given upon completion of the course.

This workshop is eligible for Employment & Training Funding. Qualified employees receive a 50% discount. In order to receive ETF funding, qualified employees must register by March 4.
