Aikido class for beginners begins Sept. 14

The College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo is offering “Aikido for Beginners” on Mondays, September 14 – November 23, 6:30-7:30 p.m., at Aikido of Hilo, located at 29 Shipman Street #203. Cost is $100 and open to adults and teens 15 years old and older.

Barbara Klein is the chief instructor and co-founder of Aikido of Hilo and is an Aikikai Rokudan (6th degree black belt). She will teach the basic aspects of aikido, emphasizing relaxation, conflict resolution, and respect for self and others.
