French language immersion classes offered

The College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo offers “Baby Talk: French,” an interactive French language immersion series for parents and young children.
Native French speaker Sylvie Garnero teaches the class on Mondays, September 14 - October 19, from 11-11:45 a.m. in the UH Hilo CCECS Classroom located at 891 Ululani Street in Hilo. Cost is $50 for one adult and one child. Additional family members may attend for $15 each, with a maximum of two children per adult.
The class is recommended for adults with children up to age five. Participants will learn simple words, phrases and songs to encourage continued learning at home.
“Adult Conversational French” classes will be held on Wednesdays, September 16-November 18, at the same location. Level 1 will be from 10:15-11:45 a.m., and Level 2 from 12:15-1:45 p.m. Cost for each series is $125.
