Basic Grant Writing returns to UH Hilo

The College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo brings back its popular Basic Grant Writing class to Hilo on Saturday, September 12, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., in UCB Room 331. The cost is $75.
Participants will learn the various aspects of the grant writing process, including how to write a compelling statement of need, and what funders are looking for in grant proposals. Various samples and handouts will also be provided. Instructor Jeani Navarro has over 30 years of grant writing experience and has helped various community organizations secure needed funding.
Private and non-government employers/businesses may qualify for a 50% tuition waiver through the State’s Employment & Training Fund (ETF). For details, visit https://labor.hawaii.gov/wdd/ and apply at least 10 days before the start of class.
