Powerpoint workshop set for UH Hilo

The College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo hosts a one-day workshop on the effective use of powerpoint presentations on Wednesday, July 1, 5 – 8 p.m., in Mookini Library, Room 359. Tuition is $55 and parking is free.

Effective PowerPoints for Education will examine proven attention retaining techniques and strategies used in real-world teaching situations. The workshop will include a discussion of current practices, experiences, and success (or horror) stories using this software as a teaching tool. PowerPoint tips and teaching techniques will also be shared. Basic Microsoft PowerPoint experience and computer skills are required.
