The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) conducts a pair of hands-on workshops providing an introduction to computers with special emphasis on the Apple Macintosh system.
The first workshop will be held on May 28th with the second one scheduled for July 23rd. Both sessions will cover the same subject matter and will be held from 5 – 8 p.m. in the UCB 120 Mac Lab on the UH Hilo campus. The cost for each session is $55.
Participants will learn the basic features necessary to use a Macintosh computer to become familiar with the computer’s components, contents, and removable media, as well as how to create, save, open and retrieve documents, use folders, and work efficiently. Upon completion of the workshop, students will be ready to advance to more demanding applications and specialized workshops such as iPhoto, iMovie and more.
