Argentine Tango class coming to UH Hilo

The College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo is accepting registration for a class that will introduce students to the unique form of dance known as Argentine tango.
Argentine Tango Immersion I is a two-day workshop that will be held on Saturday, February 7 and Sunday, February 8, from 6 - 8:30 pm in the UH Hilo Old Gym. Cost is $50.
Students will learn the dance history, various types of music, current styles and social codes, and technique for leading and following. The class, designed for students 18 and above, will challenge participants from the beginning to intermediate levels.
Visiting instructor Malia Welch is DVIDA certified in Argentine tango.
