The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo Faculty Congress and the College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) invite the public to a presentation on “The Future of Mental Health” on Wednesday, January 21, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in UCB Room 100.

Dr. Chris Frueh, professor of psychology, will explain what mental illness is, how common it is, and how it affects individuals, families, and society. He will also share the current state of mental healthcare treatment options (psychotherapy, medications, life style modifications, other biological interventions, and new technologies and advances on the horizon) and the future of mental healthcare in the context of advances in science and medicine as well as relevant policy implications.
