CCECS to host beginner’s workshop on finance and accounting

The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) offers a one-day workshop on finance and accounting for beginners on Friday, November 7, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m, in Campus Center Room 306. Tuition is $150.
Finance and Accounting for Non-Financial People will cover all of the essential elements of finance and accounting in easy-to-understand laymen terms. Participants will also learn how to apply and use the information to operate more efficiently and successfully.
Instructor Linda Sheldon has more than 40 years of professional experience working in all facets of business, from inventory stock clerk to CFO, and most recently CEO. She is adept at the skills necessary to reduce overhead costs, avoid legal implications, increase the bottom line, and improve overall business quality.
