The University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo invites the public to a presentation on “Is Science a Meritocracy?: Issues of Diversity and Equity” on Thursday, October 23 at 7 p.m. in Room 108 of the Science and Technology Building.
Dr. Kathy Cooksey, UH Hilo assistant professor of astronomy, will discuss the “leaky science pipeline,” which is the gradual attrition of people at all stages on the path to a science-related career.
