Basic Grant Writing class offered in West Hawai’i

The College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo offers its Basic Grant Writing course next month in West Hawai’i. The class will be held on Saturday, October 18 from 9-3 p.m. at the UH West Hawai’i Building 5, Conference Room.
Participants will be taught how to write a compelling statement of need and learn what funders are looking for in grant proposals. Instructor Jeani Navarro has over 30 years of grant writing experience and has helped various community organizations secure needed funding.
Various samples and handouts will be provided and participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the course. Tuition is $55, but a 50% discount may be available through ETF funding for employers who apply by October 3rd.
