For Immediate Release
Tickets are currently on sale for the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo Performing Arts Center’s and the UH Hilo Performing Arts Department’s presentation of Go, Dog, Go!, scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays, November 4, 5, 11 & 12 at 7:30 pm, and Sundays, November 6 & 13 at 2 pm.
“P.D. Eastman’s classic children’s book, adapted by Steven Dietz and Allison Gregory with music by Michael Koerner, comes to life on stage in an exploration of movement, color and space,” noted Lee Dombroski, PAC manager. “The dogs delve into life with gusto, they snorkel, they sing and dance and climb trees.
“This chaotic carnival of music and physical comedy created by Director Justina Taft Mattos, Musical Director Pedro Kaawaloa and Choreographer Dori Yamada is a rollicking free-for-all of canine shenanigans,” she added. “The UH Hilo production of this musical comedy features a fantastic ensemble cast, including fan favorites Alston Albarado, Ka’iulani Lum-Ho, Dailee Morrone, Scott Wuscher and Zoi Nakamura, as well as new faces: Justin Chittmas, Lawrence Mano and Jaci Ebesugawa. It is a big and little musical world of doggy fun -- like a pop-up book that comes to life and never stops.”
Go, Dog, Go! is recommended for audiences of all ages, and particularly for ages 3-6. Tickets are reserved seating and priced at $12 General, $7 Discount and $5 UH Students/Children. Box Office hours are Tuesday - Friday, 9 a.m. -1 p.m. Due to construction, the Box Office has been relocated to the back of the Theatre building in Room 141.
