Welcoming Carla Hoʻa

As we welcome the new spring semester, we welcome the change of new classes and new faces - one of which includes Carla Hoʻa, our new Vice Chancellor for Administrative Affairs. Hailing from the University of Colorado Boulder, she has previously served as the Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial officer at that institution.

As the Vice Chancellor of Administrative affairs, her job duties are wide and varied, covering everything from human resources, budget, and environmental safety and health. Administrative affairs departments include but are not limited to the budget office, campus security, graphics services, and the UH Hilo bookstore.
