What’s your #1 tip for new students?

Be open minded to new experiences and to others. Always ask for help and never be afraid or ashamed to ask. Be mindful of your surroundings. You're here to get an education but who says you have to do it alone? Reach out to your resources, teachers, counselors, tutors, student resident assistants and office assistants and utilize all of your resources you have on campus and off campus. Enjoy yourself and keep a positive mindset and attitude because even this will pass so you might as well enjoy the ride. But keep your grades up [and] don't get careless, you're here to get educated and gain work life experiences. So, Pursue your dreams and goals in life and don't be afraid to fail because failure can be our greatest teacher. Never give up on yourself or on others. Keep the faith and hope for a new day is on the horizon, and go get what you’re worth and be your best authentic self that you can be, and be honest with yourself too and never ever give up because we need you to make a difference in this world by changing small things to be able to change bigger things. Good luck and welcome.
