Ke Kalahea (Student-Run News Publication)

Editor-in-Chief (EiC)
Responsible for all content published; publishing the newspaper, overseeing all staff members and scheduling events and meetings.
Associate Editor
Responsible for assisting the Editor-in-Chief (EIC) in publishing the newspaper and overseeing responsibilities delegated by the EIC. (Working alongside EIC & Copy Editor in editing fellow team members' work, assisting in planning meetings and events, etc.)
Copy Editor
Working closely with the Editor-in-Chief and the Associate Editor to edit the team's work, assisting staff writers as needed.
Layout Editor
Responsible for the overall design and layout of the newspaper.
Staff Writer
Responsible for writing a minimum of 2 articles for each edition.
Graphic Designer
Responsible for designing an infographic as well as accompanying graphics for the content of the newspaper.
Layout Designer
Responsible for laying out the content in the issue and working alongside the Layout Editor to plan the arrangements and designs.
Photographer
Taking pictures and creating a photo story each month while assisting with photos for the content of the newspaper.
Webmaster
Responsible for publishing all the content of the newspaper on the Ke Kalahea website
Kanilehua- UH Hiloʻs Art and Literary Magazine

Editor-in-Chief (EiC)
The Kanilehua EIC is primarily responsible for planning events, promoting the magazine and staff positions, managing the magazine’s timeline and publication schedule, and working with the staff editors to put together the final issue. In this position, the EIC works with students, artists, and writers in the community, as well as full-time staff members at Campus Center, to publish the magazine.
Literary Editor
The literary editors at Kanilehua are responsible for attending events, promoting the magazine, and working directly with writers contributing to the magazine and editing their work. In this position, literary editors work with the EIC, their fellow literary editors, the art editor, the layout editor, and writers in the UH Hilo student community to publish the magazine.

Must be an Agriculture (any specialty) and/or Aeronautical Sciences major
College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) Senator
Must be any major within the Humanities and/or Social Sciences.
College of Business & Economics (COBE) Senator
Must be a Business Administration (any specialty) and/or Accounting major.
Ka Haka ‘Ula o Ke’elikolani College of Hawaiian Language (K'HUOK) Senator:
Must be a Hawaiian Studies and/or Linguistics major.
Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy (DKICP) Senator:
Must be enrolled in the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) and/or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutical Sciences program

Must be enrolled in any graduate-level program seeking a Master's or PhD degree equivalent.
