Summary:

This Draft Environmental Impact Statement (Draft EIS) has been prepared to provide the University of Hawaii (UH), State decision makers, the public, and interested parties with information regarding the potential impacts of locating the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) Project in Hawaii. The Draft EIS discusses the natural environment, economic environment, social and community environment, and cultural and historical environment. The Draft EIS presents the existing environmental conditions, analyzes the potential effects of the Project, and identifies proposed measures to minimize potential adverse impacts. Reasonable alternatives to the Project are also discussed.
