Summary:
The California Association for Research in Astronomy (CARA), in association with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), proposed to install two temporary optical test sites at the W. M. Keck Observatory (WMKO), Mauna Kea, Hawaii. Based on the evaluation presented in the Environmental Assessment, it appears that none of the potential environmental impacts associated with the proposed action will individually or cumulatively have a significant impact on the quality of the environment of the island of Hawaii and the Mauna Kea Science Reserve. A Finding of No Significant Impact is recommended.
