Lake Waiau
Summary:
The authors explored accurate and cost-effective approaches to enable long-term monitoring with minimal disturbance to the Lake Waiau and its environs. 3D models were constructed using soft-copy stereo photogrammetry from aerial photography, image-based 3D reconstruction from overlapping photographs, and terrestrial laser scanning. The resulting high-resolution 3D models were used to calculate volumetric and areal changes over time.
