Mamane
- Summary:
- Feral sheep and other ungulates were introduced to Hawaii Island some 200 years ago. Browsing damage to the mamane forest on the slope of Mauna Kea caused the Palila population decline. Despite of repeated attempts to eradicate the sheep, the population of sheep keeps rebounding. If palila are to survive, the sheep must go.
