- Summary:
- The MMAMA 2012 was conducted in "Apollo Valley" located at an elevation of 11,500 ft on the southeast flank of the Mauna Kea volcano. The four science investigations include the "Increasing Robotic Science" (IRS), the Volatile Analysis by Pyrolysis of Regolith (VAPoR)/Mechanized Sample Handler (MeSH), the Mossbauer/X-ray fluorescence spectrometers (MIMOS II/MIMOS IIA), and Science-Driven Rover Operations (SDRO). The analog field test showed the probability that the valley was of a burst ice-dam origin.
