Mauna Kea Observatories Astronomy
Summary:
The Mauna Kea observatories provide a unique opportunity for a large optical and infrared interferometer in the northern hemisphere with the highest angular resolution and sensitivity. The possibility to recombine with single-mode fibers this array is discussed. The instrument has a great potential for astrophysics and can be complementary to other large arrays.
