- Summary:
- Sierra Club accuses the state of allowing too many (20) telescopes on the summit, exceeding the 13 limit set in the 1983 master plan. Mike Wilson, chairman of DLNR responded with a letter, released to the public last week. According to DLNR, there are 13 telescopes on top of Mauna Kea and unrestricted access is the real problem.
