Joint Hawaii Warm Rain Project Climate Numerical simulations
Summary:
The Clark and Farley model is used to simulate the wind field mapping with the observations on August 1, 1985 for the island of Hawaii. The good agreement between the model results and observations suggested that the basic climatic regions in Hawaii are mostly determined by the interaction of the trade wind flow with the island obstacle.
