Summary:
The Yellow-fronted Canary, (Serinus mozambicus), is a bird that came to Hawaii from Africa and even though this is one of the most frequently encountered members of the Serin group, very little is known about this feral species in Hawaii. As a result, this document describes a flock of eleven Yellow-fronted Canaries that were observed at the 2130 meter elevation in the mamane (Sophora chrysophylla) and naio (Myoporum sandwicense) forest that is located on the southwestern slope of Mauna Kea, in Hawaii, in 1977.
