- Summary:
- High mountains are not only typically short-lived in geological time, but are often discrete in space that are isolated from other land surfaces with cool climate by expanses of ocean or tropical lowland as is the case with Mauna Kea, Mt. Cameroon and Mt. Kinabalu. This document describes ten tropicalpine floras from various locations around the world and presents a comparative study of the geographical affinities of all vascular plant genera that are comprised of these floras.
