- Summary:
- This document describes coronagraphic studies that were done in search of solar atmospheres that are as free as possible from elements such as smoke, dust, water vapor, fog, pollen, insects, and other contaminants that contribute to a bright aureole around the sun. These studies were done on the three higher mountains that are located in Hawaii -- Haleakala, Mauna Loa, and Mauna Kea.
