Summary:
This document describes fungi that are found in the mamane-naio vegetation zone that encircles the 1800-2900 meter elevation of Mauna Kea, on the island of Hawaii. The groups that are reported in this paper are xylariaceous ascomycetes, gasteromycetes, and wood-rotting basidiomycetes of which all collections were made on the island of Hawaii. The botanical and common names of the trees that are listed as substrates are based on research that was done by Little and Skolmen in 1989.
