Summary:
This document describes a 10-meter instrument that was designed for the Keck ll telescope that sits atop Mauna Kea on the island of Hawaii. If successful, this instrument would allow astronomers to see details that no ground-based telescope had ever seen before, through a rapidly adjustable mirror that was designed to minimize image distortions of the heavens that are imposed by Earth's turbulent atmosphere.
