Summary:
The objective of this paper was to demonstrate how it is possible to define the organizational structure at prehistoric stone quarries by examining two aspects of stone tool production -- the spacial distribution of debitage, and differential stone working skill with the analyses of debitage collected from the Mauna Kea Adze Quarry that is located in Hawaii. It is an example of how such behavioral information can be obtained from stone tools.
