DKICP Pharmacy Educational Resource Guide

Access to the Resources

The Edwin H. Mookini Library provides support services for both UH Hilo and Hawaiʻi Community College. The library offers reference tools, provides curriculum-based support with access to electronic drug information databases, reference books, journals, audio-visual equipment, and patron assistance. Throughout the facility, students have access to a number of computers, the library classroom, and study carrels. Study rooms can be reserved up to a week in advance.

Databases can be accessed from the Alphabetical List of Databases. Electronic journals can be accessed through the Journals by Title link.

DKICP students and faculty have access to specialized resources.

Students are encouraged to visit or contact Pharmacy Librarian, Donna Ohora, to make individual or group appointments for assistance in navigating the resources.

Validate your ID

Before you get started the first thing you need to do is Validate your ID online (choose UH Hilo for campus) or in person at the circulation desk. This allows you to use all the resources from off campus. Online validation is not immediate.
