Over my career, it has been gratifying to have the media interested in reporting the findings of our studies of marine mammals as well as the scientific perspective on issues related to marine mammals, their marine habitat and conservation.   • The New York Times (Science Times) (Aug 4, 2015). A Happy 44th-Year Reunion with a Whale. Story features Dr. Pack’s re-sighting of a humpback whale in Alaska whose earliest sighting was in 1972. The 44-year resighting span is the longest thus far of any humpback whale in the world.
