Kaiameaola Club's primary goal is to increase student involvement with the conservation community through service projects on and around Hawaiʻi Island. We also aim to build supportive relationships within the TCBES program and with the local community through various club events. Membership is open to undergraduates, graduate students, members of the University, and community members who are interested in conservation and environmental science.

Our Kuleana
Kaiameaola Club is dedicated to empowering students and building community within and beyond TCBES. Our responsibilities include:
- Hosting Women in STEM: We host an annual conference showcasing the research of female UH Hilo students—both undergraduate and graduate—to inspire peers, attract future students, and amplify women’s voices and contributions in science.
- Showcasing Conservation Research: We organize the yearly TCBES Symposium, which highlights the innovative research of prospective, current, and alumni TCBES students and their impact on conservation in Hawaiʻi and the Pacific Islands.
- Engaging with the Local Community: We coordinate outreach and volunteer events, giving students opportunities to connect with local organizations and apply their skills in meaningful ways across Hawaiʻi Island.
- Supporting TCBES Student Well-being: We provide resources and host social events such as lei making workshops, movie nights, hikes, and beach potlucks to foster connection, relaxation, and balance within the TCBES community.
