Students Traveling (Back) to Hilo for Fall 2022

Travel within the State of Hawaii is not subject to any COVID-19 requirements. The State of Hawaiʻi has ended its Safe Travels Hawaiʻi program.
Travelers arriving in Hawaiʻi from domestic locations have no COVID-19 related entry requirements.
Travelers arriving in Hawaiʻi directly from an international airport must still comply with U.S. federal requirements. For updates on international travel, visit CDC.gov.

Housing Applications and Assignments

University Housing and Residence Life is still accepting housing applications for the fall 2022 semester. If you would like to request information or if you have any questions regarding on campus housing, please contact University Housing and Residence Life at (808) 932-7403 or send us an email at uhhhouse@hawaii.edu so that we may assist you.
We are currently processing housing applications we received for fall 2022 and will determine housing assignments soon. Students who applied for Fall 2022 Housing are encouraged to check their UH Hilo emails for details about their housing application and/or assignment status. Due to physical and social distancing measures, University Housing and Residence Life will continue to have limited capacity in the fall 2022 semester. It is important that students respond prior to stated deadlines to secure their housing assignment for fall 2022 semester.

Support Services

Admissions

Campus Recreation and Wellness

- Campus Recreation and Wellness is using a reservation system to ensure maximum capacity is not exceeded and allow for sanitizing of the facility.

Campus Center
- Open Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm.

- Lava Landing & Da Lava Tube is open Monday thru Friday from 8:30am-3:30pm and closed on weekends and holidays.
- Campus ID services are offered in both in-person and virtual services.

- Appointment time slots are based on staff availability and are offered on a first-come first-served basis. All incoming and returning University of Hawaiʻi students, faculty, and staff are entitled to a campus ID card for $10.00. You must bring a government issued photo ID and be registered for classes at the time of your appointment.
- We are able to accept in-person services without an appointment, however, priority will be given to those who do have an appointment.
- Virtual Requests: Students are able to submit an online request for their new Campus ID card via this form. The review and creation process may take up to two (2) business days after confirmation of payment has been made. Please be sure that you submit this completed form and your documents through UH FileDrop.

- The Campus Center Dining Room is open from Monday, August 22, for take-out, indoor and outdoor dining. Covered outdoor seating and limited indoor seating are available.
