UTOPIA/DYSTOPIA was a studio project of students enrolled in Art 301 Digital Video Installation, spring 2017.
The annual International Nights is a time of year when all eyes are focused on the many cultures and international students represented at UH Hilo.
The cultural event, entitled “Arirang,” celebrates the color, drama, song, drums and dance of Korea.
A total of 242 students were candidates for 318 degrees and/or certificates. The program did not feature a traditional keynote but rather highlighted the student speaker and celebrated higher education through an indigenous lens.
Course on American Culture and Community culminates in fundraiser for the Angel Tree Christmas Program.
The event gave people a safe place to voice their feelings and offered a platform to share thoughts on the election, the future, and how to best nurture social rights and protect the environment moving forward.
