The lactation room in Campus Center is a comfortable locked room to express milk in private. Although the law requires a lactation room only for employees, student mothers are welcome to utilize the room, if it is available.
Anya Benavides will focus primarily finishing a report on UH Hilo’s sustainability performance, coordinate students club activities, help establish certificate in sustainability program, and coordinate sustainability/food security with the UH System.
Meriah Nichols, in the UH Hilo counseling psychology graduate program, will help advise the Hawai‘i Division of Vocational Rehabilitation regarding its performance as an agency.
Among a cohort of UH peers, two UH Hilo students completed a paid internship this summer collecting scientific and cultural data in Hāmākua on Hawai‘i Island in a region where famous high chief ‘Umialīloa was born and raised.
