President Lassner confirms in a letter to the Dept. of Land and Natural Resources: The Thirty Meter Telescope project site is the last new area on Maunakea where a telescope project will be contemplated or sought.

Detailed planning for the removal of the UKIRT observatory and restoration of the site will begin after decommissioning processes for Caltech and Hoku Kea observatories are completed.
