UH Hilo’s International Nights returned with students sharing song and dance of their homelands. There were also some peaceful statements made about cultural identity and war.
50 percent of post-graduate year-one applicants matched, and two out of three post-graduate year-two applicants matched in the first round.
Samuel Garcia, Aion Kaneko, Christian Lopez, and Travis Makana Taylor earned 1st Place for their 30-second PSA video and presentation, “Bone Marrow Donations Saves Lives!”

The UH Hilo Vulcans were originally projected to finish ninth in the PacWest Conference Coaches Preseason Poll, but instead gave the best teams in the conference and nation a run for their money.

The program will match students with faculty and community organizations in order to build meaningful networks that support the students through to graduation.
