UH Hilo’s 2025 Fall Welcome event was held Sept. 26 to welcome new faculty and staff, including those who recently moved internally to a new position.
The new center is a place for veterans and their families to network, connect, and get support through campus and community-connected services.
Students and employers made valuable connections at the internship fair, designed to launch careers and strengthen Hawaiʻi Island’s workforce.
Hilo-born Devin Chuʻs first visit to ʻImiloa was as a middle schooler; now with a PhD, he’s the center’s astronomer-in-residence, immersed in developing the curriculum and outreach.
Keaukaha community members, UH Hilo faculty and student researchers, and local community organizations got together to celebrate coral restoration work at Pacific Aquaculture and Coastal Resource Center.
