UH HILO STORIES is an online publication of the Office of the Chancellor, University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo. Editor and contact person is Susan Enright, public information specialist, Office of the Chancellor.
We post stories on the activities of the university ʻohana:
- STUDENTS: Achievements, awards, research, scholarships, internships, activities, community outreach, peer mentorship, campus events.
- ACADEMICS: Programs, student activities and accomplishments, teaching, applied learning.
- FACULTY: Areas of expertise, teaching, research, community outreach activity.
- RESEARCH: Applied research projects and preparing students for real-world careers, how faculty researchers are addressing Hawaiʻi’s needs, impacts on the culture and environment, community outreach.
- STAFF: Student services, support of life on campus, event organization, accomplishments.
- CAMPUS LIFE: The university ʻohana, gatherings, events, food, a Hawaiian place of learning, the diverse student population, living-learning communities.
- COMMUNITY OUTREACH: Activities of faculty, staff and students that impact the local community, help conserve the environment, and help raise the quality of life for everyone.
- ALUMNI: Careers, work in the community, accomplishments.
- ADMINISTRATION: New people, changes, priorities, progress.
