University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo pharmacy college’s doctoral Class of 2026 broke a record this month with 37% of the class matched into residency programs, representing the highest such percentage in the college’s history.

The Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy (DKICP) Class of 2026 also achieved a 91% match rate for postgraduate year-one pharmacy residency (PGY1).
The doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) graduates and soon to be graduates from college will be pursuing advanced clinical training through the 2026 American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) match for pharmacy residencies.
The Class of 2025 posted a notable 100% match rate for postgraduate year 2 (PGY2) residencies, with two alumni pursuing specialized training in oncology and ambulatory care.
