UH Hilo Waiʻanae nursing cohort gives back to their Oʻahu communities

At the Hele for Autism Walk & Fun Fair held at Magic Island, the students provided first aid, free blood pressure checks, information about careers in healthcare and the UH Hilo nursing program.

University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo students in the Waiʻanae, Oʻahu, cohort of the nursing program were out Saturday, April 18, giving back to their island communities at the Hele for Autism Walk & Fun Fair held at Magic Island.

The group provided first aid, free blood pressure checks, information about careers in healthcare and the UH Hilo nursing program, and even held fun game and activity for keiki.

The Hele for Autism Walk & Fun Fair focused on sharing resources and support for individuals with autism and their ʻohana.
