Five UH Hilo pharmacy students inducted into honor society

The exceptional students have demonstrated their commitment to using their intellectual gifts to advance the profession of pharmacy and better the lives of others.

An academic honor society at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo pharmacy college recently held an induction ceremony to welcome five new students as members of Rho Chi, Delta Iota chapter, in recognition of their excellence in intellectual achievement.

“The students inducted into Rho Chi are more than smart students,” says Rae Matsumoto, dean of the Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy. “They have demonstrated their commitment to using their intellectual gifts to advance the profession of pharmacy and better the lives of others.”

The five new members, from the Class of 2028, were sworn into their chapter leadership roles during the ceremony.

Outgoing Rho Chi officers and Delta Iota chapter faculty advisor, Jarred Prudencio, presided over the induction ceremony and initiation banquet at Hale Kīhoʻihoʻi, home to the college. Pharmacy faculty who are members of the honor society were also present to welcome the new inductees.
