115 UH Hilo student-athletes receive academic honors

The honor students earned a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the end of the 2024 fall semester.

The Office of Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo announced a total of 115 student-athletes earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or higher through the end of the 2024 fall semester. The group was honored at a reception held Tuesday.

Mason Cook, a junior catcher for Men’s Baseball who holds a 4.0 GPA, served as the scholar-athlete speaker.

UH Hilo Assistant Professor of Communication Colby Miyose was faculty speaker, and also was honored with the Vulcans Faculty Appreciation Award.
