2025 Spring Vulcan ʻOhana Week is underway! Fairs and resource events offer students ways to connect
Informational and campus resource fairs, a goodie giveaway, a community resource event, and Sundae Social are scheduled throughout the week.

It’s the first week of classes at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo and Vulcan ʻOhana Week is underway.
Campus Center held a Let’s Get Involved! student organization fair yesterday at the Campus Center Plaza. The fair gave students a chance to learn about and join UH Hilo student organizations and clubs, meet other students, and engage in fun activities designed for newcomers and returning students alike.
A Steps to Success! campus resource fair was held today to highlight campus programs and services available to all students. Staff from the various campus resource offices were on hand to answer questions. The event was an excellent opportunity for students to connect with members of the campus community and learn about important resources that can help with student success.
Tomorrow, the Student Activities Council is holding SAC’s Back-To-School Giveaway. The event is a fun way to start the year with news about upcoming events and a chance to meet the SAC team while enjoying refreshments. Goodie giveaways! On Friday evening, SAC is hosting a Sundae Social.
Thursday’s Community on Campus Resource Fair highlights resources in the Hilo community. Community resource organizations with informational tables at the event include the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, Goodwill Hawaiʻi, Hawaiʻi Island Community Health Center and more. The event provides an excellent opportunity for students to connect with local community human services organizations and learn about important resources that can help them succeed throughout the year.
