Photos: Pua Kalikimaka! UH Hilo’s agricultural college holds Poinsettia Plant Sale

The College of Agriculture, Forestry, and Natural Resource Management at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo held a Poinsettia Plant Sale on Nov. 26 at Mookini Library’s lanai.

Nicholas Kruger, an instructor of agriculture based at the university’s farm, was organizer of the event.

The event featured colorful arrangements of both red and white poinsettias, called “Pua Kalikimaka” in Hawaiian meaning “Christmas Flower,” which were grown by UH Hilo ag students at the university’s Agricultural Farm Laboratory in Panaʻewa.

The plants were sold $10 for one, $25 for three, and $40 for six.

Nicholas Kruger, an instructor of agriculture based at the university’s farm, was organizer of the event.
