Celebrate Global Education! International Education Week events are underway at UH Hilo
Events celebrating International Education Week are underway. Food, books, photo contest, brush writing workshop, block party, trivia night!
This week the University of Hawai’i at Hilo is celebrating International Education Week, Nov. 18-22.
The annual celebration is recognized nationally through a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. The goal is to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences. On Sept. 1 this year Governor Josh Green declared Nov. 18 – 22, 2024, as International Education Week in Hawaiʻi.
UH Hilo events are hosted by the university’s Center for Global Education and Exchange and other campus groups as noted in the schedule below. Click flyers to enlarge.
