Fall 2023 Wailau storytelling event, Sept. 29
Five storytellers from UH Hilo and the wider community will share stories from their own lives based on the theme “Dreams.”

The Wailau storytelling series hosted by the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo will be offering its fall semester event this Friday, Sept. 29, at 4:00 p.m. on the Mookini Library lānai.
Five storytellers from UH Hilo and the wider community will share stories from their own lives based on the theme “Dreams.”
New student hosts Kaylee Wright and Sophia Potter will share the stage with topic expert Kaimana Barcarse to welcome storytellers:
- Michelle Ashley Mazzetti, UH Hilo geology alum, “Following My Naʻau”
- Richard Ha, Hawaiʻi Island farmer, “Connecting to the Ancient Values of Makuʻu”
- Meshell Barron, Hawaiʻi Island community member, “We Will Always Have Paris”
- Laura Caswell-Morgan, former UH Hilo student, “Land of the Long White Cloud—Pepeha and Slippers”
- Yume Iwashita, UH Hilo international student, “Believing in the Power of Dreams”
Parking on campus is free, and snacks will be provided.
